In My Own Words

In My Own Words

I hadn’t yet found the weeks intention for my yoga classes at the end of last week, so I let my mind wander.  I watched things around me, and allowed Source to guide me in discovering and feeling the intention. And, wow…here’s what happened!  In my own words, this was the message I received:

“Incredible how the universe works. And if we attempt to stay open and aware enough, we can see it working for us and in support of us. This week I did not have an intention come as easily as it typically does. And yet my husband took a day off from work so that he could be present in our son’s parent-teacher conference with me. And, in taking a personal day he also got to go to the DMV, fun, and it gave me a chance to walk the dog without having to wear the baby!  So, I had plenty of time to take a longer walk and allow my thoughts to ruminate.  Foreshadowing, you could say my thoughts had the space to migrate! 😉

In this ruminating walk in nature, I began thinking about migration because of the birds flying above. In migration there is a returning home, and really there is more than one home.  For us humans, truly no matter where we migrate to, no matter where we have come from, it is that Source within us that has always been there and is constant. No matter what takes flight in our life, no matter what we lose within our lifetime, that Essence and that Light stays the same. And no matter how often we change our self or our beliefs, it’s not a changing that changes Us, it is a continual uncovering of who we’ve always been!  It’s just that we had to discover that Light within, we had to question the journey, we had to find our courage, we had to open our own heart enough to our Self in order to experience our own Self and that timelessness within us. We had to break down our own walls, we had to step out into the vastness that is our life, we had to be strong enough to lift our own arms up towards the sky and with as much breath behind our voice as we could muster, we had to say “Here, I Am”!

So incredible that as I was picking up my dog’s poop, oh yeah, I realized that there was a quote that I was going to use for the week of Thanksgiving just last week, but did not.  And yet, here it arrives again! See how the universe is supporting me by holding it back for its right moment which is this week!?

Page 424 in Mark Nepo’s book, ‘The Book of Awakening’, he writes… “acceptance and a strong heart will crack unhappiness and pain like a shell, exposing a softness that has always been, exposing a soft thing waiting to take form. It glows. I think it is the one Spirit we all share.”

It’s been of my belief for years, that yoga is a practice for our Great Remembering of Who We Are.

May you remember who you are, may you remember what you are. May you wake up each morning knowing your Aliveness, giving thanks for it, and spreading the Light, the glowing, the Spirit that is You, that is who we All Are.

This is why we had a focus to the crown chakra in class, sahasrara. So that we could illuminate the Universal Consciousness that is ours.  And, so that we could support release of all attachments.
HINT: Due to high demand, we will be going  thru all the seven main chakras in my weekly classes sometime in the early new year!  Not to be missed because this is not your typical journey, nor typical focus, with the chakras. #excited
